This past Saturday, Wiha Tools volunteers gathered together in Monticello, MN for an incredible cause — supporting Bikes4Kids.
Bikes4Kids is a local non-profit organization that is committed to collecting, refurbishing, and redistributing used bicycles. Founded to serve the needs of kids and individuals, the organization sources bicycles from recycling centers, businesses, and generous individuals within Anoka County and the Twin City Metro Area. Each donated bike is carefully serviced, with parts and labor funded through ongoing fundraising efforts and the support of volunteers. Recipients of these bicycles are thoughtfully selected by county social services and other institutions, ensuring the bikes reach those who will benefit most. Overall Bikes4Kids is more than just a charity; it’s a movement that brings smiles to faces, promotes sustainability, and fosters a sense of community.
During the event, Wiha Tools volunteers worked tirelessly, accepting bike donations and loading them onto two large trailers. By the end of the morning, the team had collected over 70 bicycles—each one a promise of newfound freedom and adventure for its future rider.
The partnership between Wiha Tools and Bikes4Kids exemplifies the positive impact that local businesses and communities can achieve when they unite for a common cause.
